GH069 Small "Groovy" Bowl

This is an amazing little  bowl. There is only one glaze on the bowl other  than the splash of red on the  foot. Being fired in the wood kiln the bowl has copious amonts of ash over a  black glaze. The ash creates the gold, tan, opalescent blue and other subtle colors and textures. 

This is another piece that you have to hold in your hands to fully experience the variety, depth, and richness of this piece. The ash from the wood kiln provides a subtle variation which I have tried to depict in the close-up shots. This bowl also has a large quantity of ash deposited on the inside of the bowl making beautiful variations on the inside. This piece truly has something interesting happening in every area of the bowl. This is an exceptional piece.
