Some of Daphne's interests from generations of her family is gardening, nature, horticulture and flower arranging. Organic, twining vines of the forest, as well as bark texture taken from trees, make up the palette of color and texture used on her bark textured pieces.
Pictured here is an exquisite example of an ikebana vase. At times she has collaborated with others who do Japanese flower arranging to combine their talents with her unique, one-of-a-kind vases. This vase has a rich texture taken from tree bark and a deep brown, gold, amber, and chartreuse coloring.
