DH023 Handled Oval Platter

This is a really sublime handled oval platter that received a nice touch of ash from the wood firing. This platter has our black glaze for the first layer, with resist spots, then a second layer of our red glaze. Within the spots on the platter, there is a third chartreuse glaze. As you can see, the yellow/gold coloring on the front and back is from the wood ash from the oak/hickory wood we use in the firing. 
To be fully appreciated, this piece must be used, as the ergonomic placement of the handles make this piece a pleasure to pick up. A lot of variety in this lovely platter.
