GH009 Bottle with Square Top

A lovely ash-laden bottle with a square top and our black glaze, which turns a luscious golden bronze in the wood kiln when confronted with wood ash.  This particular bottle sat on the bag wall and received copious amounts of wood ash during the firing. This is another one of those pieces that has a very shiny glaze and is a challenge to photograph. I have tried to help with that by providing numerous closeup images to give you a real sense of the extreme depth and detail of this surface. I love this piece and have never done another one similar to it. It has a glaze trailed around the middle which adds additional variation and interest to the surface. A truly "loaded" surface. Loaded with detail and depth.
