A very fine example of my grooved surface treatment. This treatment causes an undulation of the glaze, and using a glaze like our tenmoku  glaze has caused it to be lighter where thin, and darker where thick. The ash from the wood kiln provides a subtle variation which I have tried to depict in the images. This bowl has three glazes on the inside of the bowl making beautiful variations of color on the inside.  In fact the inside is almost kinetic with complexity,  juxtaposed with the simplistic linear exterior. This piece truly has something interesting happening in every area of the bowl. This is an exceptional piece.
