DH290 Spiral Tattoo Handled Oval Platter

Handbuilt from slab. Fired to cone 12 in a Bourry-box Woodfired  kiln.

This is a really large handled oval platter, perfect for displaying on your table or kitchen counter all of the time, holding an assortment of fruit.  It’s big enough for your Thanksgiving turkey or a whole salmon filet, and it functions wonderfully for the presentation of a complex fresh salad or tray of meats and cheeses.  I call this design “Spiral Tattoo”, inspired by my 40+ years of living in the deep East Texas woodlands, and hiking the vine-tangled forests in which I live.
