I have done my best photographing this bowl but the photos just do not do this beauty justice. It needs to be seen in person. If you purchase this bowl and are not blown away by the beauty and detail, your money will be cheerfully refunded, no questions asked. This is a very fine example of my chattered surface treatment. Chattering can be seen on the outside of this bowl although it is very subtle. This treatment causes an undulation of the glaze, and using a glaze like our black glaze has caused it to be lighter where thin, and darker where thick. The ash from the wood kiln provides a subtle variation which I have tried to depict in the close-up shots. This bowl also has a beautiful copper red glaze on the inside of the bowl making beautiful variations on the inside. These colors range from deep crimson to light blue. This piece truly has something interesting happening in every area of the bowl. This is an exceptional piece.
